可擕式熱解探測器設計用於探測含氯和含氟氣體。可擕式熱裂解探測器是由三個基本元件構成的，即：帶有集成泵的取樣模組，可用於採樣，以及將氣體轉化為無機酸的熱裂解器和用於探測這些氣體的氣體探測模組。該儀器的自我診斷功能包括對預設溫度和流率的監測。

可擕式熱解器的特點是帶有用戶可調的雙級別濃度報警、LCD濃度顯示幕以及視聽報警指示器。該儀器還將三個報警繼電器合併在一起，一旦探測到氣體濃度或儀器報警條件，這三個報警繼電器便自動啟動外部裝置。除了報警繼電器外，購買時該儀器可選配LonWorks®或4 - 20 mA介面。
